Thankfully I’ve figured out some ways to really help me stay healthy on the go. This Berry Power Smoothie Bowl made with V8® Veggie Blends: Berry Bliss, vanilla greek yogurt and a frozen banana is an easy way to start the day off in a healthy way.
I was headed out the other day to Walmart to grab some final goodies for my youngest sons school Halloween party {class mom duties} when I came across the new V8® Veggie Blends: Berry Bliss and V8® Veggie Blends: Caribbean Greens. I grabbed a bottle of each and thought “ok this is going to be perfect to help me get my fruits & veggies in!”. The Veggie Blends are packed with vitamins A, C and E with no sugar added, 60 calories or less per 8 oz serving, no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives!! You can find them in Walmart right in the drink aisle next to all the other great V8® products.
With just 3 ingredients blended up you are actually getting a perfect blend of veggies and fruit. I topped mine off with some fresh blueberries and a little granola. Heres the great thing though, if you are in a rush you can blend this up and drink the smoothie on the go! The V8® Veggie Blends: Berry Bliss and V8® Veggie Blends: Caribbean Greens is delicious all on its own as well and its such an affordable option!
Now when it comes to running errands or from soccer to hockey I always have a snack or two with me. Some GREAT options that I love are baggies of almonds or a healthy snack mix. I love mixing dried fruit, nuts and sunflower seeds. Another go to snack for me is hummus with veggies. You can use a mason jar or plastic storage container to bring it on the go with you. One other of my favorites is a simple fruit, yogurt and granola parfait. Again, this can be thrown together in a mason jar and enjoyed anywhere!
Its amazing how a little planning and prep can really make such a huge difference! I really think that you’ll find that eating healthy on the go is much easier then you thought and can be incredibly delicious as well. I also think these on the go snacks will help keep you satisfied. And when you hear your momma in your head saying eat your veggies… remember now you can drink them in the delicious NEW Veggie Blends!
- 1/2 cup V8® Veggie Blends: Berry Bliss
- 1 frozen banana
- 5 oz container Greek vanilla yogurt
- granola and fresh fruit to top it off
- Place the juice drink, banana and yogurt into a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into a bowl and top with fresh berries and granola for added texture and flavor.
