Thankful Blogger Here & Giveaway!

I can’t believe that only 2 months in (2 months and 5 days to be exact) and my little ole food blog has just jumped to over 3,000 page views!!! What!?!?!?! I am so incredibly thankful to have so many people interested in reading about my family & life in my kitchen!

And on top of that, just a little bit ago I was informed that my blog has been chosen as the Featured Blog of the Day on Foodista!! What an amazing honor!!!!

I have to say, I am so glad Nikki  suggested I start a blog! I have never been the type of person to write anything down and blogging is forcing me to do so… its a GREAT thing!!! I think its so important to have in writing family recipes to pass along to the next generation. My grandparents, off the boat, Italians are wonderful cooks but good luck getting a recipe from them! They write nothing down, they don’t use measuring cups, they just “know”.  When they are older, I want to be able to give my boys a book of recipes that they grew up with so they can in turn pass it along to their children.

I love getting comments when people try my recipes and say how much their families enjoyed it, thats what its all about! I want people to try new things, try things that maybe they didn’t think they could cook and then go ahead and start creating their own recipes. I feel like too often people rush through the days (trust me, I have my days too!)… we need to figure out how to slow down, sit down as a family and enjoy a home cooked meal. It seems so simple right!

With all that said, I want to thank all of you that take a few minutes out of your busy days to read my blog! I am beyond thankful to you all!!! Thank you for helping me reach this very exciting milestone!!!
